Prepare terms of reference for the governance group for a project you are familiar with.

At a minimum, the terms of reference should include:

• The project title
• The project manager’s and sponsors’ names
• The effective date of the document (the date the terms apply from)
• The purpose of the group
• The scope of their authority
• Roles and responsibilities
• Membership of the group
• How and when the group will meet
• How the group will make decisions
• When and how the group’s performance will be reviewed

This document can (but does not need to) relate to projects you reference in other assessment tasks.

For assessment purposes, you may make reasonable assumptions about the project consistent with organisational and project management good practices.

You should also consult widely and seek feedback from other project stakeholders on this document.
